Chile resguarda el 20% de la población de albatros de ceja negra y de cabeza gris a nivel global. Sin embargo, la biología y ecología de estos albatros es una de las más desconocidas. Cristián G. Suazo, coordinador de ATF-Chile nos comparte la historia de los albatros de las islas Diego Ramírez, así como el reconocimiento de sus amenazas y oportunidades de conservación.

Chile shelters 20% of the population of Black-headed and Grey-headed Albatrosses globally. However, the biology and ecology of these albatrosses are among the most unknown. Cristián G. Suazo, coordinator of the Albatross Task Force in Chile shares the history of the albatrosses of the Diego Ramirez Islands, as well as the recognition of their threats and conservation opportunities.

The Agreement on the
Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels

ACAP is a multilateral agreement which seeks to conserve listed albatrosses, petrels and shearwaters by coordinating international activity to mitigate known threats to their populations.
